For Chapter 9 for From This Moment On I had planned to write what I had initially planned for Chapter 8 - confusing, I know...
On Chapter 8, Lee and Angelina popped in and I just couldn't help myself - I had to explore this characters, give them more room to grow and (of course) I had to spill some more plot lines to be developed in following chapters.
Nevertheless, that was not what I had planned; what is now seen on Chapter 9 was. "A Teddy Little Problem" was at start merely my opportunity to put Ron and Hermione with a baby on their hands and watch them handling that. It turned out to me more than I had expected.
For starters, Andromeda. It hadn't occurred to me earlier to focus on her, but I had to. She'd just lost her daughter not long after she'd lost her husband. I had to let out her pain as well. On the other hand, it was my first chance to take Harry deeper on what it really means to be Teddy's godfather.
On the other hand, Ron and Hermione got out of my control - they seriously did. They're annoying at times, I'm telling you. I simply wanted to make them change dippers or something - they ended up arguing and about some important stuff too. I took it and for the first time Ron begins to near his fears and insecurities - clumsily, awkwardly, just as you'd expect him to. In a certain way, Ron and Hermione ended up setting here the precedent for some serious talk later on (the locket, probably).
"A Teddy Little Problem" might end up having a tad too much fluff in it - but that was partly what I had planned for it, actually, for from now on it'll get darker - quite darker. So I really had to give them all a break, seriously!
